  • I.Cross Car Beam (CCB)

    The Cross Car Beam is Heda's flagship product, encompassing steel, aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, and steel-plastic composite types. With a Chinese domestic passenger vehicle market share exceeding 30%, we rank among the top players in this niche segment, supplying to OEMs including FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC General Motors, BYD, Geely, Great Wall, and Toyota. We possess synchronous engineering (SE) capabilities with OEMs, enabling customized beam structures, bracket layouts, and tolerance compensation solutions tailored to specific vehicle models, covering both conventional ICE vehicles and NEV platforms.     As a core supplier in the field of automotive passive safety, Shanghai Heda is committed to providing OEMs with comprehensive safety structural solutions covering both "front and rear collision" and "side impact protection" scenarios. Our product portfolio encompasses lightweight aluminum alloy crash beams, 1,500 MPa-grade high-strength steel roll-formed crash beams, and hot-formed sill reinforcements, establishing full-chain capabilities from material R&D to precision manufacturing.

    For front and rear crash systems, we employ 6xxx/7xxx series aluminum alloy extrusion forming combined with high-strength steel roll forming and hot forming technologies. Through topology optimization, we design multi-cavity closed cross-sections that ensure bending stiffness while achieving extreme weight reduction (aluminum solutions deliver over 40% weight savings compared to steel counterparts), while also considering low-speed collision repair economy. For sill reinforcements—the core of side-impact safety—we focus on proprietary Heda-grade ultra-high-strength 6xxx series aluminum alloy processes, delivering yield strength significantly exceeding conventional 6xxx series alloys to forge an impenetrable side defense line.   • Leveraging our technical expertise in precision metal forming, Shanghai Hedda has established high-strength roll forming as a core process route for lightweight and safety-critical structural components. We specialize in 590 MPa to 1,500 MPa-grade advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) roll forming applications, with products extensively covering front/rear crash beams, sill reinforcement inserts, seat frames, and battery pack side rails. Compared to conventional stamping processes, our roll-formed products form closed multi-cavity cross-sections through multi-pass continuous rolling, achieving 15%–25% weight reduction while significantly enhancing bending/torsional stiffness and fatigue life. With over 95% material utilization rate, minimal die amortization costs, and high dimensional accuracy, Hedda's high-strength roll forming solutions perfectly balance "extreme lightweighting" with "total cost optimization," successfully supporting both domestic and international mainstream OEMs in improving vehicle safety ratings and electrification platform weight reduction. Hedda is also deploying next-generation TRB (Tailor Rolled Blank) roll forming technology, enabling extreme weight reduction through variable thickness design at equivalent cost levels.

    Shanghai Heda's self-developed MHP (Media Hot Pressing) process is a patented invention that breaks through foreign direct hot forming patent barriers. Compared to conventional direct hot forming, the MHP process features superior complex-shape forming capability through innovative media quenching control, enabling local soft-hard zone design for safety-critical components such as crash beams, sill reinforcements, and B-pillars—high-strength zones achieve 2,000 MPa tensile strength for collision safety, while transition soft zones enhance energy absorption and ductility, solving the pain points of excessive springback and cracking in ultra-high-strength steels.

    The MHP process is compatible with bare steel, Al-Si coated, and Zn-based coated sheets (significantly improving corrosion resistance and e-coat compatibility), eliminating dependence on imported Al-Si coating material patents and providing OEMs with more cost-competitive localized alternatives. Products are widely applied to front/rear crash beams, sill reinforcement inserts, A/B-pillar reinforcements, and integrated door rings, achieving low occupant compartment intrusion in C-NCAP/Euro NCAP high-standard collisions, while realizing 15%–20% structural weight reduction through thickness reduction. This satisfies NEVs' dual demands for safety and lightweighting. Currently, Heda MHP products have secured program nominations from renowned domestic commercial and passenger vehicle OEMs, achieving technical self-control of critical body safety structural components.

    Shanghai Heda has pioneered the mass production breakthrough of 2,000 MPa-grade ultra-high-strength direct hot forming technology. Utilizing high-strength boron steel through "austenitization heating—die quenching" process, our parts achieve tensile strength exceeding 2,000 MPa and yield strength surpassing 1,500 MPa. Building upon this foundation, we deeply integrate hot-formed single/dual door ring (Single/Dual Door Ring) technology, integrating more than ten previously separate components including A-pillars, B-pillars, sills, and roof rails into 1–2 holistic ring structures. This innovation eliminates extensive welding deformation, significantly improving BIW torsional stiffness and dimensional accuracy, while constructing a continuous "integrated survival space" under C-NCAP/Euro NCAP 25% offset frontal impact and side pole impact conditions—fundamentally resolving stress concentration and fracture risks of conventional spliced structures under extreme loading scenarios. This solution provides NEV battery packs with an impenetrable lateral protection shield, while achieving over 20% vehicle weight reduction through "thickness reduction" and component integration, perfectly delivering comprehensive advancement in ultimate safety, extreme lightweighting, and vehicle handling performance.

    This product adopts a hybrid design of hot-formed steel and high-strength steel, combining high strength with high toughness, achieving 20%–30% weight reduction while effectively controlling manufacturing costs.

    Product Highlights:

    i.High Strength and High Toughness Integration: Combining hot-formed steel with high-strength steel, the hot-formed steel sections provide outstanding strength and crash energy absorption capability, effectively absorbing and dispersing impact energy during collisions to protect occupant safety. The high-strength steel sections provide enhanced ductility, improving fatigue resistance and enabling the side members to better withstand dynamic loads during vehicle operation.

    ii.Lightweighting: Under the premise of guaranteed strength, hot-formed high-strength steel can utilize relatively thinner gauges, achieving vehicle lightweighting. Compared to conventional mild steel side members, hot-formed high-strength steel can reduce weight by approximately 20%–30%.
